Wasn't David Sadler's talk brilliant on Tuesday evening?! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did - and you'll be delighted to know that he will indeed be back to judge for us in November.
Moving on swiftly to next week though, and we have two things to update you on. Firstly is obviously the first instalment of the President's 12. Many of you have now submitted images that have some kind of vague reference to the topics set by Ken, but there is plenty of room to fit some more in, so please do not hesitate to send them to Ben at email@example.com.
The first six topics are of course: -
April - Circles
May - How High is Up
June - Golden Hour
July - Mirror Image/Reflection
August - Self-Portrait
September - The Camera Doesn't Lie
This was a lot of fun last year, so I'm sure it will be an entertaining evening.
Secondly, Tuesday next week is the deadline for submitting the Mini Panel entries. Remember to send your six digital images (PDIs) to Ben numbered 1-6, with a title for your panel. We have a few entries in already, so it looks like it will again be a great competition. As always, if you are on the fence about entering, please just join in, it's not daunting, and the judge, Steve Whittaker, is very positive and constructive in his feedback.
Finally, thank you to everyone who got images to me promptly for the Architecture competition. A late night collating the images, making score sheets and labelling them all let me get them to the judge on Wednesday as planned. Hopefully we won't be faced with such a quick turnaround again. Apologies to the authors of two late entries that came in after I had delivered the prints - I did try to give everyone ample warning of the deadline.
Look forward to seeing a good audience on Tuesday for a lighthearted and fun look through the images submitted.
